With a company of Aquila Actors and United States veterans, Aquila Theatre will bring to life scenes from its production of A Female Philoctetes, directed and adapted by Desiree Sanchez, which premiered to sold out audiences in April 2014 at Brooklyn Academy of Music Fisher's Hillman Studio. Post performance talk back will be moderated by Professor Peter Meineck (NYU), translator of Sophocles' "Philoctetes," (Hackett Publishing - 2012) and founder of Aquila Theatre.

Aquila’s work has been staged for the President and First Lady of the United States at the White House, for members of the US Supreme Court, The National Council on the Arts, at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and at hundreds of theatres, museums, libraries and colleges throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. A Female Philoctetes has been featured on NPR's "All Things Considered" and "The Diane Rehm Show."
